On paper, this was one of the most potentially challenging weddings we have ever taken on. Yet the thought of painting a picture perfect work of art across a canvas of Nuwara Eliya hills was an offer too good to pass up.
The goal was to set a tone of elegance and exclusivity. The bride chose a steel grey and blush pink color palate in vintage classic style, the perfect compliment to the rich gravitas of The Hill Club. Classic silver vases and decanters holding fresh white and pink flowers were scattered along the long tables along with soft grey napkins and blush pink flowers placed on each table setting along with a tea planter style menu. An elegantly adorned silver wedding cake took pride of place. Every detail, down to the stationery and the extravagant buffet transported guests back to the lavish, classical grandeur of a bygone age.
Guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés on the beautiful Hill Club lawn as garden lanterns and flowers in full bloom lit up the brisk dusk air.
Elegance then gave way to unbridle exuberance as the celebrations took to the cozy wooden clubhouse. Guest DJ's from Sri Lanka and Singapore rocked the party till the break of dawn with delicious midnight snacks and after-party meals to cap off a delightful weekend.
